Noise Protection

Noise protection refers to measures taken to reduce or mitigate the effects of unwanted sound or noise on individuals, communities, and the environment. Excessive noise can have detrimental effects on human health, well-being, and quality of life.

Noise protection devices reduce the exposure of individuals to excessive noise levels in various environments. These devices aim to protect hearing and prevent noise-induced hearing loss or other related health issues.

We offer the following noise protection devices

Earplugs: Earplugs are small, disposable, or reusable devices inserted into the ear canal to block or reduce the transmission of sound waves. They are made from various materials, such as foam, silicone, or rubber. The most common areas of use are in noisy environments like construction sites, factories, concerts, and during recreational activities like shooting or motorcycling. These are not custom-made.

Custom Hearing Protection: Some individuals require custom-fitted hearing protection devices tailored to the shape and size of their ears for optimal comfort and effectiveness. We typically take impressions of your ears and then make personalised earplugs or earmolds from them.

Hearing Protection for Musicians

Hearing protection for musicians is crucial because exposure to high levels of sound during rehearsals, performances, and studio sessions can lead to hearing damage and long-term hearing loss. However, traditional earplugs may distort sound quality and hinder musicians’ ability to hear themselves and others accurately. Therefore, specialised hearing protection options have been developed to address the unique needs of musicians.

Custom-Moulded Earplugs: We craft custom-moulded earplugs to fit the wearer’s ear canal precisely. They provide a comfortable and secure fit, which is especially important for musicians who perform for extended periods. Custom-moulded earplugs offer superior sound quality and attenuation compared to generic earplugs. As well as binge tailored to musicians’ specific needs and preferences.

In-Ear Monitors (IEMs): In-ear monitors allow musicians to hear themselves and their bandmates clearly while blocking out external noise. They are also custom-fitted for optimal sound isolation and comfort. IEMs provide a personalized monitoring experience, allowing musicians to control the mix of their instruments and vocals directly in their ears. In addition to monitoring, IEMs can also serve as hearing protection devices. This is because they reduce the need for stage monitors and loud stage volume.

Musician’s Earplugs with Interchangeable Filters: Some musician’s earplugs come with interchangeable filters that allow users to adjust the level of attenuation based on the environment and their sound preferences. These earplugs offer versatility and flexibility, making them suitable for a wide range of musical settings and genres.

Other Types of Protection

Industrial Hearing Protectors: Industrial hearing protectors meet specific safety standards and regulations. They provide specialised noise protection for workers in industrial settings. They are typically durable, comfortable, and capable of attenuating high levels of noise generated by machinery and equipment.

Sleep Earplugs: Sleep earplugs are soft and comfortable earplugs designed to reduce ambient noise. They also promote better sleep within noisy environments, such as urban areas, hotels, or shared accommodations.

We can also provide protection from water such as Swimming Moulds. And for those who enjoy air pods, we offer Earpod moulds to protect your air pods!

Choosing the appropriate noise protection device depends on factors such as the level and type of noise exposure, comfort, durability, and specific requirements for communication or environmental awareness. It’s essential to select devices that provide adequate protection without compromising comfort or functionality.
